Katie Singleton

Ruth Wilson is a British actress. Born in Ashford in 1982 to Mary and Nigel Wilson, she has three brothers: Toby, Sam, and Matthew. She graduated from the University of Nottingham with a degree in History, and subsequently trained in acting at the prestigious London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. She gained significant attention for her leading role in the 2006 BBC adaptation of *Jane Eyre*. She has appeared in films such as *The Lone Ranger* (2013), *Saving Mr. Banks* (2013), *Anna Karenina*, and *Suite Française*. From 2010-2013, she played Alice in the series *Luther*, and from 2014 she starred as Alison in the acclaimed series *The Affair*.
