Arlene Tur

Doris Dörrie was born in Hanover, Germany in 1955. After studying acting, philosophy, and psychology in the USA, she studied at the Munich Film and Television Academy, where she is now a professor. In 1999, she was a jury member at the Cannes Film Festival. Besides film directing, she also wrote best-selling books such as "Was machen wir jetzt?" and "Das blaue Kleid". In 1989, she co-founded the production company Kobra Produktions GmbH with her husband Helge Weindler and Thomas Muller.
