Jessica Yu Li Henwick is a British actress. She rose to fame for her role as Nymeria Sand in the HBO series Game of Thrones. Born in Surrey in 1992 to a Singaporean mother and a British Zambian father, she received acting training at Redroofs Theatre School and the National Youth Theatre. She gained popularity in Britain with her role as Bo in Spirit Warriors, a BBC children's production. In 2013, she attracted attention in the theatre world with the play Running on the Cracks. She joined the cast of HBO's Game of Thrones in season 5 as Nymeria, appearing intermittently until season 7. She played Jessika Pava in Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Episode VII). She received acclaim for her role as Colleen Wing in Iron Fist and The Defenders.
