American actor Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is known for his portrayal of David Kane in the 2018 DC Extended Universe superhero film Aquaman, Bobby Seale in the 2020 Netflix historical legal drama The Trial of the Chicago 7, and Cal Abar in the 2019 HBO limited series Watchmen. He even won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie for his role in Watchmen. Abdul-Mateen II will appear as Morpheus in The Matrix Resurrections.
