Jennifer Shrader Lawrence is an Oscar-winning American actress. She rose to fame with the Hunger Games series. Her performance in Silver Linings Playbook earned her the Best Actress Oscar in 2013. Lawrence started acting in church plays. At 14, she decided to become an actress and applied with her family to a talent scout. She graduated from high school two years early and began her acting career. Lawrence played the character of Lauren Pearson, the older sister, in the TBS show The Bill Engvall Show. For her role, Lawrence was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress on January 25, 2011, becoming the second-youngest Best Actress nominee in the Academy Awards' history. She starred in the second installment of the Hunger Games series. Her performance in American Hustle in 2013 earned her a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress. In 2016, she starred in Passengers, and in 2017, she appeared in Darren Aronofsky's mother!. Lawrence's most recent film is the adult comedy No Hard Feelings.
