Chris D'Elia

Born in Adana to an Erzincan family, he first encountered theatre during his secondary school years at the Adana Halkevi, under the guidance of Assoc. Prof. Nurhan Tekerek, an expert on Adana's theatre history. He moved to Ankara for theatre and became a professional at the Ankara Birlik Theatre. After a break from acting from 1969 to 1977, he studied communication and became a journalist. He continued his involvement in theatre in Adana through work behind the scenes. He founded the Seyhan Municipality Theatre Group in 1997 and served as a arts consultant in five provinces. He returned to acting in 2005 with Tayfun Pirselimoğlu's unfinished film, QUARTET. He is currently working as a news reporter and actor on a national television channel. He passed away on November 2, 2022, following a brain hemorrhage.
