Nergis Öztürk is a film and television actress. Born in 1980 in Kandıra, Kocaeli, she graduated from the Ankara University Faculty of Language, History and Geography, Theatre Department. She made her film debut in "Hacivat Karagöz Nasıl Öldürüldü?" (How Were Hacivat and Karagöz Killed?). She starred in the TV series "Kızlar Yurdu" (Girls' Dormitory) and the film "Barda" directed by Serdar Akar. She played the role of Sona in the TV series "Karayılan". She appeared in the TV series "Hatırla Sevgili" (Remember Beloved) as Ayla. She performed in the theatre play "Bunu Yapan İki Kişi" (Two People Who Did This). For her performance, she shared the Best Comedy Actress award at the X. Lions Theatre Awards with her co-star Didem Balçın. She played Sevgi in the 2007 film "Barda". She gained recognition for her role as prison warden Zerrin in the TV series "Avlu" (The Yard), which began in 2018. Öztürk married actor Cemal Toktaş in 2014 and they have a son named Yaman.
