Emma Noelle Roberts, known professionally as Emma Dumont, is an American actress, dancer, and musician. Born in Seattle in 1994, she began ballet training at the age of 3, attending prestigious ballet schools. She also became a successful violinist and violist, performing in various orchestras from a young age. Dumont, who had a very active childhood and adolescence, also developed an interest in film. Her first films, *True Adolescents* and *Dear Lemon Lima*, were released in 2009. Around this time she also began modeling, working in different countries and appearing in numerous magazines. She furthered her acting experience with roles in series such as *The Aquarius* and *Bunheads*. In 2017, she joined the cast of *The Gifted* as Lorna Dane/Polaris.
