Tayfun Pirselimoğlu, born in 1959 in Trabzon, Turkey, is a director, screenwriter, and writer. He is known for his first feature film, "Hiçbiryerde" (Nowhere), starring Zuhal Olcay. He is a graduate of Middle East Technical University and later studied painting and engraving at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. He has held numerous solo and group exhibitions worldwide. After 1985, he began working in cinema, initially as a screenwriter. He contributed to the screenplay of "İzin" (Permission), the first film of his then-wife, Yeşim Ustaoğlu. His first feature film, "Hiçbiryerde," tells the story of a mother searching for her son who disappeared after being detained. Released in 2002, the film starred veteran actress Zuhal Olcay, who won several awards for her performance. Pirselimoğlu is also involved in literature and has published four novels.
