Mariska Magdolna Hargitay is an American actress. She was born in Santa Monica in 1964, the youngest child of Mickey Hargitay (1926-2006), a Hungarian-born bodybuilder and actor, and Jayne Mansfield (1933-1967), a popular actress of her time. She had two older brothers, Mickey Jr. (b. 1958) and Zoltán (b. 1960). She married actor Peter Hermann in 2004. In 2006, she gave birth to a son, August Miklos Friedrich Hermann. In 2011, they adopted a daughter, Amaya Josephine, and another son, Andrew Nicolas Hargitay Hermann.
