William Anthony Parker Jr., known as Tony Parker, is a French basketball player. He achieved great success playing for the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA and the French national basketball team. Born in Brussels, Belgium in 1982, into a family closely associated with basketball, Parker played in the French basketball league for two years before entering the 2001 NBA Draft. He was drafted 28th overall by the San Antonio Spurs and quickly became the team's starting point guard. With the Spurs, he won four NBA Championships in 2003, 2005, 2007, and 2014. Benefiting from his high speed and excellent field goal percentage, Parker was named to the NBA All-Star game six times and was named the 2007 NBA Finals MVP. Except for the 2011 lockout, during which he played for ASVEL, a French team he also owned, Parker played for the San Antonio Spurs for 17 years. In the summer of 2018, he signed a two-year contract with the Charlotte Hornets. He also achieved significant success with the French national team, winning the European Championship in Slovenia in 2013 and being named the tournament's MVP. He married Eva Longoria, known for her role in the TV series Desperate Housewives, on July 7, 2007, but they divorced in 2011. That same year, he began a relationship with French journalist Axelle Francine. They married in 2014 and had a son, Josh, the same year.
