Abbie Hern

Defne Samyeli, born in 1972, is a former Turkish beauty queen and news anchor. Born in Istanbul, Samyeli has an older brother named Sühan. She joined the TRT Istanbul Radio children's choir. She then began studying chemistry at Boğaziçi University, but due to work commitments, she graduated from the business administration department. In 1991, she won third place in the Interstar Beauty Pageant. She later worked as a presenter on channels such as Show TV and ATV. In 1995, she married the famous architect Eren Talu. They have two daughters: Deren, born in 1996, and Derin, born in 2003.
