Alain Fabien Maurice Marcel Delon is a French actor. He was one of the biggest stars of European cinema in the 1960s and 70s. Born in 1935 in Sceaux, a suburb of Paris, he had a difficult childhood due to his parents' separation when he was young. Alongside many B-movies, he had the opportunity to work with world-renowned directors such as Luchino Visconti, Jean-Pierre Melville, and Michelangelo Antonioni. From 1959 to 1963, he was with the famous Austrian actress Romy Schneider. During this period, Delon also had a relationship with the German singer Nico. His son Ari was born in 1962. In 1964, he married Nathalie Barthelemy Delon. His second son, Anthony Delon, was born the same year. His marriage ended in 1969. He then had a 15-year relationship with actress Mireille Darc, whom he met around that time. He had another 15-year relationship with Dutch model Rosalie van Breemen, whom he met on the set of a music video in 1987. He had two children with her: Anouchka Delon (born 1990) and Alain-Fabien Delon (born 1994). Anouchka is also an actress. In 1995, he received the Honorary Golden Bear Award at the Berlin Film Festival. Living near Geneva in Chêne-Bourgeries since 1985, Delon obtained Swiss citizenship in 1999.
