David Shields

Nihat Kantemir (1975-2014) was a Turkish theater and television actor. Born in Istanbul in 1975, Kantemir graduated from the Logistics Department of Waldow University in Switzerland in 1998. He worked as a manager in the logistics departments of various institutions. Starting in 2008, he became involved in theater, performing in numerous plays as a member of the Atolye Kiler theater group. Kantemir also appeared in various commercials and TV series, including notable productions such as Kurtlar Vadisi (Valley of the Wolves), Annem (My Mother), Arka Sokaklar (Back Streets), Ezel, and Yaprak Dökümü (Falling Leaves). Nihat Kantemir was killed on March 25, 2014, at midday, in Sefaköy, Istanbul. An unidentified individual shot him as he was getting into his car. Fourteen empty bullet casings were found at the scene. The assailant escaped, but confessed to the crime and surrendered the evening of the incident; however, no explanation for the motive was given.
