Del Baker

Sönmez Atasoy (1944-2011) was a Turkish theater and film actor. Working for many years in the State Theatres, Atasoy became widely known for his role as Uncle Halo in the TV series *Kurtlar Vadisi*. He graduated from the Ankara State Conservatory's theater department. He began working in the State Theatres in 1968 and served a period at the Ankara State Theatre. In 1998, he gave diction and announcing training in a course organized by the Izmir Municipality. From 2008 until his death, he was a part-time lecturer in the Theater department of Haliç University Conservatory. He died in Isparta in 2011 from a heart attack while filming a TV series. Married to fellow theater actress Emel Göksu, Atasoy's daughter, Fadik Sevin Atasoy, also became a theater actress.
