Destiny Ekaragha

Lale Oraloğlu was born in İzmir, Turkey on September 28, 1924. She received her education at Dame de Sion, Şişli Terakki, Sainte-Pulchérie French High School, Nişantaşı Middle School, and the German High School. A champion swimmer (400m) and second place in Turkish shot put, Oraloğlu began playing the piano at age 7. She studied piano and then voice at the Conservatory. After completing her artistic education at the conservatory, she also worked as a journalist. She is also the mother of actress Alev Oraloğlu. A graduate of the Faculty of Literature, Department of English Philology, she spoke four languages. Oraloğlu's theatrical talent caught the attention of Muhsin Ertuğrul during theatre courses, leading to her professional debut at Küçük Sahne in 1951. Between 1951 and 1960, she starred in 35 films. She closed her theatre in 1987 because her mother was 90 years old and needed her care.
