Mehmet Fikret Kuşkan is a theater and film actor. In 1986, he passed the special talent exam for the Theater Department of Istanbul University State Conservatory and completed his education there. He received support from his literature teacher during high school regarding acting. He gave up photography to pursue his passion for theater. After graduating from the conservatory, albeit with difficulty, he landed his first role in Zülfü Livaneli's film *Sis* (Fog). In the early 1990s, he acted in *Gizli Yüz* (Hidden Face), an adaptation of an Orhan Pamuk work, and in Zeki Demirkubuz's first feature film, *C-Blok*. He played a transvestite in *Dönersen Islık Çal* (Whistle if You Return). In 2000, he starred in Savaş Ay's film *Dansöz* (Belly Dancer). His role as Tunç in 9 films in 2002 earned him the Best Actor award at the 14th Ankara International Film Festival. He played leading roles in the 2003 films *Mustafa Hakkında Her Şey* (Everything About Mustafa) and *Anlat İstanbul'un Kırmızı Başlıklı Kız* (Tell Istanbul's Little Red Riding Hood) segment. In 2005, he played the leading role of Sadık in Çağan Irmak's highly acclaimed film *Babam ve Oğlum* (My Father and My Son), winning the Best Actor award at the Istanbul International Film Festival for this performance. In later years, Kuşkan focused more on television series, appearing in productions such as *Bıçak Sırtı*, *Parmaklıklar Ardında*, *Hanımın Çiftliği*, *Hayat Devam Ediyor*, and *Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu*. He married fellow actress Bahar Kerimoğlu in 2005. They have a son, Gün Kuzgun Kuşkan, born in 2008. Their marriage ended in 2009. He married music teacher Arsevi Özkara in 2014.
