Josie Ho Chiu-Yi is a Hong Kong singer and actress born in China on December 26, 1974. She has been involved in numerous films, TV commercials, television series, and singing performances. She is known for playing a variety of roles, some with strong contrasting characteristics, such as a prostitute and a billionaire's daughter, reflecting her own affluent upbringing. For the film *Exiled*, Ho worked with a script that wasn't fully fleshed out. Recalling the experience in a recent interview, she stated, "[Johnnie To] said, 'Basically, I want you actors to come completely clean, like a blank piece of paper, with nothing in your mind to set up for the scene… That way, you can draw whatever he wants from you.'" This improvisational acting style alongside Anthony Wong Chau Sang and Eason Chan in *Exiled*, directed by Johnnie To, proved difficult for Ho. Ho found this method unsuitable and directed the horror film *Home Dream* herself.
