Gene Evans

Joseph Morgan began his acting career in 2003 with two TV films, *Eroica* and *Henry VIII*, and the feature film *Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World*, starring Russell Crowe. His breakout role was as Troy in the TV series *Hex*, which aired on Sky1 in the UK and BBC America in the US. He also appeared alongside Anthony Hopkins, Angelina Jolie, and Colin Farrell in Oliver Stone's 2004 film *Alexander*. Morgan achieved significant recognition for his role as Klaus Mikaelson in *The Vampire Diaries*, which premiered on The CW in 2009. He joined the cast in 2011. He currently stars as Paul in *The Grind*, directed by Rishi Opel (post-production), and as James Hogg in *500 Miles North*, directed by Luke Massey (currently filming). Beyond acting, Morgan wrote, produced, and directed the short film *With These Hands*. The Vampire Diaries propelled Morgan to international fame, and he is also a supporter of Positive Woman, a women's rights organization based in Swaziland.
