Hong Ah-reum

Born in Söke, he attended Ortaklar Teacher's High School. After studying for a time at the Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Fine Arts, Music Department, he left and graduated from the Hacettepe University State Conservatory, Theatre Department. Since his graduation year, 1985, he has worked as an artist for the İzmir State Theatre. For 26 years, he has played in numerous plays, some of which include: Kanlı Nigar, Ellerimin Arasındaki Hayat, Yağmurcu, Sırça Kümes, Venedik Taciri, Carmela ve Paolino, Terzi, Albay Kuş, Kocasını Pişiren Kadın, Güneyli Bayan, etc. He has directed children's plays at the İzmir State Theatre and the İzmir State Opera and Ballet. For 7 years, he wrote and performed sketches for the TRT's "Tatil Sabahı" program. He also worked as a voice actor for many years at TRT in "Radyo Tiyatrosu," "Arkası Yarın," and various documentaries, and he still continues dubbing work. He performed with the İzmir State Symphony Orchestra with Rüştü Asyalı in "ÜÇ DESTAN" and with Aytül Büyüksaraç, Sertab Erener, and Zara in "KAHRAMAN TÜRK KADINLARI ORATORYOSU." He sang theatre songs with Cem İdiz in a recital called "ADRESE ŞARKILAR." He has taught at various schools periodically and currently teaches at the Müjdat Gezen Arts Center and the Yaşar University Theatre Club. He has worked in television series and films. For six years, he has also served as the Director of the İzmir State Theatre.
