Jane Seymour

Caleb Casey McGuire Affleck is an American actor. He is known for his roles in films such as *The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford* and *Manchester by the Sea*. Born in Falmouth, Massachusetts in 1975 to Christopher Anne and Timothy Byers Affleck, he is the younger brother of actor Ben Affleck. His parents divorced when he was 9. He and his brother lived with their mother, and spent some time living in Mexico, where he learned Spanish. At 18, he moved to Los Angeles, living with his brother and Matt Damon. He later returned to education, studying Political Science at George Washington University and Columbia University, but left after two years to pursue acting. His first notable role was in Gus Van Sant's *To Die For* (1995), followed by a role in Van Sant's *Good Will Hunting*. In 2001, he starred as Virgil Malloy, one of the original eleven, in *Ocean's Eleven*, and reprised the role in the sequels *Ocean's Twelve* and *Ocean's Thirteen*. His career shifted with the 2007 film *The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford*, where he starred opposite Brad Pitt. His performance as Robert Ford earned him numerous nominations and awards, including an Oscar nomination. In 2014, he appeared in Christopher Nolan's science fiction film *Interstellar*. In 2016, he starred in *Manchester by the Sea*, alongside *Live by Night* and *Triple 9*. His performance in *Manchester by the Sea* garnered critical acclaim, winning him a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Motion Picture Drama, an Academy Award for Best Actor, and a BAFTA Award for Best Actor. He was married to Summer Phoenix, sister of Joaquin Phoenix, from 2006 to 2016. They have two sons, Indiana August (b. 2004) and Atticus (b. 2008).
