Jonathan Togo

Defne Halman is an actress born in New York City, USA in 1962. She received her education at the United Nations International School, the Juilliard School, and the Professional Children's School, which has trained many famous American actors. She later moved to Turkey and enrolled in the theater department of Mimar Sinan University State Conservatory. After graduating, she acted in numerous theater plays and films, hosted various television programs, and presented awards at the Istanbul Film Festival. In the late 1990s, she played the character of Jenny in the TV series "İkinci Bahar." Her role in the play "Aç Sınıfının Laneti" earned her the Avni Dilligil Theatre Award and the Ministry of Culture Special Award. In the early 1990s, Halman returned to New York and continues her acting career in off-Broadway theaters. Her father, Talat Sait Halman (1931-2014), was a former Minister of Culture. She is a mother of one daughter.
