İbrahim İlker Aksum is a Turkish television and film actor. Born in Isparta in 1971 to Nurten and Mehmet Bülent Aksum, his father was a pilot officer. He started school at Etimesgut Şeker Primary School. From a young age, he was the center of attention due to his likability and sincerity. After graduating from Mehmetçik High School, he enrolled in Hacettepe University State Conservatory in 1989 and graduated in 1993. Following his graduation, he began working at the Antalya State Theatre. After completing his military service in Sarıkamış, Kars, he worked in various theaters in Istanbul. He rose to fame with his role as Afakan in the TV series "Çarli." He further increased his popularity with series such as "Biz Size Aşık Olduk" and "Beşik Kertmesi." His portrayal of Ruşen in the TV series "Yabancı Damat" (2004-2007) garnered significant acclaim. He made his film debut in the 2006 film "Küçük Kıyamet" and won the SİYAD Award for Best Supporting Actor. He has also appeared in series such as "Güz Sancısı," "Canım Ailem," and "Muhteşem Yüzyıl." He played the lead role of Ender in "Bizim Büyük Çaresizliğimiz," based on Barış Bıçakçı's novel and directed by Seyfi Teoman. He also appeared as Çınar in the series "Poyraz Karayel." He was married to Belgin Erdoğan from 2008 to 2012.
