Kathrine Herzer

Sarah Caroline Olivia Colman, a British actress with the full name Sarah Caroline Olivia Colman, was born on January 30, 1974. She married Ed Sinclair in August 2001 and has three children: two sons born in 2005 and 2015, and a daughter born in 2007. She gained attention in 2011 for her portrayal of Carol Thatcher in The Iron Lady, further solidifying her fame with roles in Tyrannosaur (2011) and The Lobster (2015). Colman's extensive filmography includes: Queen Elizabeth II in The Crown (2019), Madame Thenardier in Les Misérables (mini-series), Hope in Them That Follow, and Till in Unexpected Item (2019). She also played Strawberry in the Watership Down mini-series (2018), Marion in Thomas & Friends: Meet the Characters! (2014-2018), and Queen Anne in The Favourite (2018). Colman significantly increased her recognition through her role as Sophie Chapman in the Channel 4 British comedy series Peep Show (2003-2015). Other notable television comedy roles include Green Wing (2004-2006), Beautiful People (2007), Rev (2010-2014), and Twenty Twelve (2011-2012). She also appeared in That Mitchell and Webb Look (2006-2008) with Peep Show co-stars David Mitchell and Robert Webb. In 2017, she played Hildegarde Schmidt in the Murder on the Orient Express adaptation. A recipient of BAFTA and Golden Globe awards, Colman won the Academy Award for Best Actress in 2019 for her role as Queen Anne in The Favourite. While studying primary school teaching at Cambridge University, she decided it wasn't for her, left school, worked as a cleaner in the city, and then decided to become an actress.
