Kiran Rao

Mario Casas Sierra is a Spanish actor. He rose to fame after his role in the TV series *Los hombres de Paco* (Paco's Men), achieving international recognition for his role as H. in the films *Tres metros sobre el cielo* (Three Meters Above Heaven) and *Tengo ganas de ti* (I Want You). Born in A Coruña, Galicia, Spain in 1986, Casas has three siblings: Sheila, Christian, and Oscar. At age 8, his family moved to Barcelona. As a child, he dreamed of being a policeman, firefighter, or footballer, but ultimately chose acting and moved to Madrid for training. After minor roles in various series, he made his film debut in 2006 in Antonio Banderas's *El camino de los ingleses* (The Path of the Englishmen). His popularity in Spain soared with his role in *Los hombres de Paco* (Paco's Men), playing Aitor for three seasons (2007-2010). In 2010, he starred in Fernando González Molina's *Tres metros sobre el cielo* (Three Meters Above Heaven), playing an aggressive but handsome street racer alongside María Valverde. He reprised his role in the sequel, *Tengo ganas de ti* (I Want You), in 2012, this time with Clara Lago alongside Valverde. Casas has been in a relationship with his *Tres metros sobre el cielo* co-star María Valverde since 2009 and is a fan of Deportivo de La Coruña football club.
