Dagmara Dominczyk is a Polish-American actress. Born in Kielce, Poland in 1976 to Aleksandra and Mirosław Dominczyk, her family immigrated to the United States as political refugees in 1983 due to their political affiliations. She graduated from Carnegie Mellon University's School of Drama in 1998. Her Broadway debut was in 1999 as the understudy for Anna Friel in Patrick Marber's *Closer*. She rose to prominence with her role as Mercedes in the 2002 film *The Count of Monte Cristo*. She also appeared in television series such as *24*, *Kinsey* (2004), and *The Bedford Diaries* (2006). She starred in films including *Helena from the Wedding*, *The Letter*, *The Immigrant* (2013), and *Jack Strong* (2014). Married to actor Patrick Wilson since 2005, Dominczyk has two sons: Kalin Patrick (b. 2006) and Kassian McCarrell (b. 2009). Her sisters, Marika and Veronika, are also actresses.
