Malcolm Galea

Osman Sonant is a theater and film actor. He is best remembered for his role as Yavuz in the TV series Leyla ile Mecnun. Born in Istanbul in 1979, he took his first steps in acting with acting training from Yılmaz Gruda at Bahçelievler Municipal Theatre in 1997. In 1998, he continued his work at Ortaoyuncular Nöbetçi Theatre under the direction of Ferhan Şensoyun, and in 1999, he completed his undergraduate studies in acting at Istanbul University State Conservatory, Department of Performing Arts. The actor, who has appeared in various theater plays, television series, and films, won the Best Supporting Actor Award at the 16th Golden Boll Film Festival in 2009 for his role as Mehmet in Yeşim Ustaoğlu's Golden Shell award-winning film, Pandora's Box.
