He graduated from Bakırköy Mustafa Necati Primary School, Bakırköy Şekerevler Cumhuriyet Middle School, and Bakırköy High School. He dropped out of Yeditepe University's Visual Communication Design department in his third year and graduated from Yeditepe University's Radio, Cinema, and Television department in 2009. He began his acting career in 1986 with the music video for Barış Manço's song "Osman." In 1987, he took a significant step in his acting career by appearing in the TRT series "Kirli Sarı," directed by Atilla Candemir. Following this series, which launched his television career, he played the lead role of Güllü in the 1989-1990 TRT adaptation of Orhan Kemal's "Hanımın Çiftliği," a role previously played by Türkan Şoray. This series made him one of Turkey's most popular actors, as TRT was the only channel at the time. In 1992, he starred alongside Mehmet Aslantuğ in the film "Kapıları Açmak," directed by Osman Sınav. During the same period, he worked as a top model in Turkey, participating in numerous domestic and international events. He later starred in the TRT series "Zontellektüel Abdullah" alongside Yaprak Özdemiroğlu and Mustafa Avkıran, directed by Necmettin Varlı. He also appeared in "Umut Dünyası" on ATV, "Kırmızı Kart Osman" on Show TV (with Nurhan Damcıoğlu and Cihat Tamer), "Hüzün Çiçeği" on TGRT (with Eşref Kolçak, Erol Taş, and Meral Orhonsay), and "Süt Kardeşler" on TGRT (with Ahmet Uğurlu, Kemal Kuruçay, and Tulu Çizgen). He also received training in Turkish Art Music and performed throughout Turkey. In 2010, he hosted the daily program "İyi ki Kadınım" on Cem TV, focusing on women's issues, airing from 11:00 to 12:30 weekdays.
