Michele Santopietro

Aoi was born in Tokyo, Japan. She started her acting career at the age of 4, predominantly appearing in drama films and tabloids. She rose to fame at age 14 with the film *One Summers Day*. Subsequent awards for her roles in *Eureka 2001* and *Harmful Insect 2002* solidified her position in the acting world. She also ventured into musical theatre with *The Little Prince*. Finally, in 2008, she received the Galaxy Individual Award for her performance in the NHK drama *Atsuhime*.
