Murat Atıl

Born in Seoul, South Korea, Jung first appeared in a television commercial in 1994 and auditioned for the lead role opposite So-Young Ko in the 1994 film Gumiho. This role launched his career, establishing him as one of Korea's most promising actors. Leaving high school, he immediately dedicated himself to being a full-time actor in both TV dramas and films. He did several TV series and films, but it was the 1997 film Biteu that made him a true icon. His James Dean-esque rebellious and lonely character in this film made him hugely popular.
