Zazie Olivia Beetz is a German-American actress. Her mother is African-American and her father is German. Born in Berlin in 1991, she was raised in the United States. She has a brother named Justin. She is fluent in both English and German, having completed her primary and secondary education in Germany. She attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School in New York City. She graduated from Skidmore College with a degree in French. She began her acting career with small roles in various TV shows and short films. She rose to fame for her role as Vanessa Keefer in the TV series *Atlanta*, which started in 2016. Her portrayal of Domino in the 2018 film *Deadpool 2* brought her worldwide recognition.
