John Joseph Edward Cassidy, known as Jack Cassidy (1927-1976), was an American actor. Jack Cassidy married twice. His first marriage was to Evelyn Ward in 1948, and their son, David Cassidy (1950-2017), was born. Shortly after separating from his first wife in 1956, he married Shirley Jones and had three more sons: Shaun, Patrick, and Ryan. He separated from Jones in 1974.
