Ronnie Parker

Tomris Oğuzalp (1932-2013) was a Turkish theater and film actress. Generally playing supporting roles as a villainous woman, Oğuzalp was also a member of ÇASOD (a Turkish theater group) and a successful voice actress. Born in Trabzon, after graduating from Çamlıca Girls' High School and Ankara State Conservatory, she began her film career in 1953 with the film *Sarı Zeybek*. She worked for a long time as an actress and manager at the Ankara State Theatre, then at the Ankara Art Theatre, and later with Kent Oyuncuları (a theater group). In her over 50-year career, she appeared in hundreds of theater plays and was widely recognized for her role as Hayriye in the television series *Küçük Besleme*. She also voiced Mrs. Weasley in the Harry Potter series. She won the Best Supporting Actress award at the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival in 1995 for her role in the film *Gerilla*. Tomris Oğuzalp, whose last years were marked by significant financial difficulties, passed away in Istanbul on October 28, 2013.
