Sung Kang

Engin Akyürek is an actor born in Ankara. Originally from Erzincan, Akyürek graduated from the Department of History at Ankara University's Faculty of Language, History and Geography. After winning first place in the Türkiye'nin Yıldızları (Stars of Turkey) competition, he began acting and joined the cast of Yabancı Damat (Foreign Son-in-Law). Between 2004 and 2007, he played the character of Kadir Sadıkoğlu in this series. His performance in the series Kara Para Aşk (Black Money Love) earned him a nomination for the International Emmy Award for Best Actor and he won the Seoul Drama Award. In recent years, he has appeared in Yolun Açık Olsun (May Your Path Be Open), Adım Farah (My Name is Farah), and Kaçış (Escape).
