Tahar Rahim

Hakan Altıner is a Turkish actor working in theater, advertising, film, and television. Born in Istanbul in 1952, he graduated from Istanbul Erkek Lisesi (Istanbul Boys' High School) and then completed studies at Istanbul University's Faculty of Law and Istanbul Municipal Conservatory's Theater Department. He began his acting career in 1974 with the Kent Oyuncuları Kenter Theatre. While acting, he also served as a faculty member at the Istanbul Municipal Conservatory. He served as the director of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality City Theatres for five years, concurrently working as a director. He also held the position of General Artistic Director at the Besiktas Municipality Akatlar Culture Center for five years. He retired from City Theatres in 2003 at his own request. In 2001, he and İpek Kadılar Altıner founded Tiyatro Kedi, where he serves as artistic director, director, and actor.
