Vicky Harris

Marie Avgeropoulos is a Canadian actress of Greek descent. She is known for her role as Octavia Blake in the television series The 100. Avgeropoulos was born in Thunder Bay, Canada. She spent her youth engaging in outdoor sports and learned to play the drums. After studying journalism at university for two years, she moved to Europe before returning to Canada. While living in Vancouver, she was discovered after applying for a drummer advertisement and began appearing in commercials. In 2009, she made her film debut in I Love You, Beth Cooper. She rose to prominence with her roles as Kim in the 2010 film Hunt to Kill and as Allison in the 2011 film 50/50. In 2013, she played Kirstie in the short-lived television series Cult (13 episodes). Her role as Octavia in The 100, which premiered in 2014, solidified her popularity with television audiences.
