Zhongjun Wang

Fahrettin Cüreklibatur, known by his stage name Cüneyt Arkın, was a Turkish film actor. One of Yeşilçam's most beloved leading men, Arkın became a legend of Turkish cinema, particularly through his historical and detective films. Born in Eskişehir in 1937, he entered the film industry in 1964 after winning a magazine's acting competition. He gained immense popularity through romantic films as well as historical films featuring characters like Malkoçoğlu and Battal Gazi. He also tried his hand at directing with the 1976 film Şahin. Notable films include: Gurbet Kuşları (Halit Refiğ), Yaralı Kurt (Lütfi Ö. Akad), Maden (Yavuz Özkan), Cemil (Melih Gülgen). He married Güler Mocan in 1964. His daughter, Filiz Canlı, was born in 1966. He divorced in 1968 and had limited contact with his daughter afterward. He married Betül Cüreklibatur in the early 1970s. This marriage produced two sons, Murat Arkın (b. 1975) and Kaan Cüreklibatur.
