Macau, a former Portuguese colony, is a fascinating, multicultural labyrinthine city... This adventurous journey begins with two directors returning to Macau after thirty years: one with childhood memories specific to the East, the other with a memory of the East encoded in cinema, literature, and painting, bringing to life memories of a fictional reality. The result is a landscape of physical and emotional geography, filmed in the style of a film noir and structured like a research expedition.
