Jamilah has her whole life planned out. She's the leader of a Black sorority, captain of a championship-winning step team, and the liaison between the university dean and the school. Her only goal is to get into Harvard Law School. Everything seems under control until the Sigma Beta Beta party girls threaten to disgrace the school. Jamilah is asked to help them, not just to teach them step but to win competitions. With her dreams of Harvard Law hanging in the balance, Jamilah agrees to coach the step team.
