The film tells the story of a woman who falls in love with two men who are strikingly similar. Adapted from Tomoka Shibasaki's novel, the film, titled Asako, follows Asako as she first falls for the young and charismatic Baku, and then years later, falls for another man who is his double. When Baku tries to re-enter her life, Asako finds herself caught in a whirlwind of emotional and mental conflict.
