The true life story of James Braddock, an Irish-American boxer and one of the greatest legends in American history. Survival in 1930s America was incredibly difficult. Jim, whose greatest desire was to live like a true boxer, had given up the sport to work as a dockworker to support his family. One day, however, luck smiled on Jim, giving him the chance to face heavyweight champion Max Baer. The fight, which would bring Jim the title he craved, lasted a grueling 15 rounds. In the end, Jim became a legend. But what would fame take from his life?
