Ten-year-old Trenk is a peasant boy who works practically as a slave for the cruel lord Sir Wertolt. A dragon problem has arisen, leading to a tournament where the person who defeats the dragon is promised a wish. Trenk's father has been unjustly imprisoned, and wanting to save him, Trenk, despite being just a child, embarks on a dangerous and exciting adventure with courage and determination.
