Pippa Bacca, a 34-year-old Italian artist, along with fellow artist Silvia Moro, hitchhiked through 11 war-torn countries wearing wedding dresses. This performance art piece, a statement for peace, aimed to prove that good things can happen by trusting others. The pair, who travelled extensively together, decided to separate in Istanbul, planning to reunite in Byblos, Lebanon. However, Pippa was never heard from again.
