A young man is having a passionate affair with an older married woman and is intensely jealous. After a while, he persuades his lover, and they decide to kill the unsuspecting husband. One night, while the husband is asleep drunk, the lovers take the opportunity and strangle him, throwing his body into a well. To prevent rumors about her husband's disappearance, the woman tells everyone he went to another city for work. The couple enjoys their affair for three years undisturbed. However, the husband's prolonged absence from his home raises suspicion among the neighbors. A formal investigation into his disappearance is launched. To make matters worse, the husband's ghost begins to appear.
