Mara follows a forensic psychologist, Kate Fuller, as she investigates a mysterious case. A seemingly successful family man is found strangled in his sleep by his wife, with their eight-year-old daughter, Sophie, as the sole witness. As Kate delves deeper, uncovering an ancient legend of a demon that kills people in their sleep, her investigation becomes increasingly dangerous. She begins to experience the same terrifying symptoms as previous victims, finding herself trapped in a nightmarish ordeal. To save herself and young Sophie, Kate must fight to stay awake and defeat this supernatural entity.
