Kenshin Himura, also known as Battousai, is a legendary swordsman. After the Meiji Restoration, he stopped killing with his sword. He tries to live a peaceful life in the village with Kaoru Kamiya, who runs a kendo school. One day, Akabeko Restaurant, Kenshin's favorite eatery, is destroyed. Kenshin finds a note written with the name 'Junchu' inside. It's from a familiar person, consumed by a fire of revenge, his old enemy.
