About a decade after Sarah Connor's escape from the Terminator sent from the future by Skynet, in 1995, a new Terminator, a T-1000 model, is sent from 2029 to kill John Connor, the future leader of the human resistance and Sarah's son. The Resistance manages to send back a reprogrammed T-800 model Terminator to 1995. The T-800's mission is to rescue Sarah from the mental institution and protect John from the T-1000.
