Detective Chris Tom Meeten is tasked with investigating a double homicide in London. The most bizarre aspect of the crime is that the two victims appear to have continued walking despite sustaining severe injuries. Unable to solve the complex case through conventional methods, Chris decides to infiltrate the practice of psychotherapist Alexander Morland, Geoffrey McGivern, whom he suspects is responsible, by posing as a patient. However, as the therapy sessions progress, Chris risks losing his grip on reality.
