Buck Ferguson, a renowned hunter famous in North Carolina and beyond for his self-filmed wildlife videos, decides to make a special hunting video to reconnect with his 12-year-old son, Jaden, who has become somewhat distant after his parents' divorce. He takes along Don, his trusted but somewhat unlucky cameraman, and embarks on the adventure with great excitement. However, this father-son wilderness adventure takes an unexpected turn. Leaving behind the comforts of the 21st century proves challenging for all. The boredom of isolation also leads to the surfacing of some secrets they've been keeping from each other. Buck soon realizes that family bonds cannot be forced.
