Forrest Tucker, a career criminal played by Robert Redford, famously escaped from Alcatraz, albeit briefly. In 1979, he also escaped from San Quentin and, even in his 70s, continued to evade capture while perpetrating robberies. Detective John Hunt, played by Casey Affleck, is determined to finally catch the charming thief. The film is inspired by the true story of Forrest Tucker (1920-2004).
